Write of the Day - 25092016

Here's my Write of the Day for 25 Sept 2016.

Wanted to practice Sketchnoting, but when I started writing, my creativity shuts down.
So I ended up doing Notes writing.

There's always another day to practice.

My Every Day Notebook

All my readers know I carry notebook(s) daily, but what do I have in it?
This post will have an insight of my current Every Day Notebook.

Enjoy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been carrying these notebooks for the past months:
- Field Notes Sweet Tooth as Weekly Planner;
- Field Notes America The Beautiful as my Random Notebook;
- & PocketMod for my To-Do-List.

They are great for I love pocket size notebook(s) and I can easily stuff them into the side pocket of my pants. Having them separated is easily for me to organize my stuffs.

But.... I changed.

Cristina Gomes Leather Cover

Few months back, I decided to invest in a A6 leather cover.

Why A6, many people asked?

At first, I wasn't a great fan of A6 notebook as I very much preferred something smaller, but not too small. Passport size is too small, and A6 is slightly too big, so I choose Field Notes.

But I realized, A6 size is actually a very comfortable size to write in.

After much consideration on if I should get another leather cover, I decided to get one.

After browsing around, I discovered Cristina Leather on Facebook.

A business card as reference.

Inside My Camel Traveler's Notebook

My Camel Traveler's Notebook is my current new Every Day Carry.

For this Traveler's Notebook, I want to keep it as simple and as thin as possible, so that it will be easy for me to carry it around.
But at the same time, I want to be able to the most out of this TN.

Requirements:
1. A planner that allows me to write down my schedules, and also, a space where I can draw, doodle and write quotes.
2. A notebook for Brain Dump and important reads.
3. A pouch to store my accessories.
4. A pen loop that will not obstruct when I write.
5. Card slots.

So far, I guess the Setup has met all the requirements.

What's in my Traveler's Notebook:
- 019 Free Diary;
- 003 Blank Note;
- Advanced Zipper pouch
- Sakura Pigma Micron Pen size 03

Unboxing my Traveler's Notebook Camel edition

By now, many Traveler's Notebook users have all gotten their Camel edition.

I have received mine in mid-May 2016, although many users received theirs in late April 2016 or early May 2016.

Initiately, I have no idea what use do I have for this Camel edition, and I decided to make it my planner. Another planner despite my many unused planner on my study table.

Here's some of the photos taken during the unboxing:

Learn something new

It's been a while since I wrote here.

Been caught up with work and sending lovely stationeries to overseas friends (a couple of items available, and will be sharing on the blog soon).

Nevertheless, I am determine to learn something new!!

Recently, I've seen so much nice sketches on notebooks and one particular skill I'm picking up is Sketchnote.

Searching on World Wild Webs give me a lot of great returns, but I preferred a layback method, and that is, to read from book.

So I got myself the Sketchnote Handbook, by Mike Rohde.

To be honest, I'm not a fast reader, it will take a while to read through this book.

Wish me luck :D

Long Long Time Ago...

Long Long Time Ago... I started my first Midori Traveler's Notebook.
And ever since, there's no turning back.

Got my Regular Brown Traveler's Notebook back in year 2008.
I have seen many photos about this notebook, and I made up my mind to get one for myself.
I remembered I had to save up for months just to own this piece of jewel.

It has been a good investment - just because I am still using it till this date.

Over the years, the collection just expand.

It was a hard decision to get my 2nd Midori Traveler's Notebook - the black passport TN - because of the price. And after few months of saving, I finally got one.

Over the years, I have been switching in and out of notebooks, but I still very much prefer what Traveler's Notebook can offer.

The collection will continue to expand - from notebooks to accessories.
And I am definitely proud of my collection.
