While browsing on KickStarter, I found something rather interesting - a pen; a stylus; how about both in one instrument? 

Yes, I am referring to the DUO - The Ultimate Everyday Ballpoint Pen and Stylus.

The lost touch lead.

Pencil, is what I am referring to. 

In the fast, advanced technology world, writing has become less and less frequent. And even when we write, we do it mostly with pen. 

 

Pencil, is a tool that I hardly use, until recently when I started sketching (drawing). And I realised that it took me forever to finish one pencil - I have tons of them waiting for me - looks like I will have my whole life to finish them. 

To me, it's a new-found tool worth looking into.

Zipper pouches have been one of the best accessories designed for our Traveler's Notebook. 

Depending on the type of zipper pouch,  we can now carry our cards, stickers, notes and even pen with our Traveler's Notebook.

My (beginner) sketching experiences.

Sketching is something that I've been wanting to do, but I have never go about doing it, fearing that I can't sketch better than my peers.

I decided to leap off the cliff of fear, and dive into the wonders of art.
Sketching (in my own words), is my way of expressing my views, onto paper with a pen.
I shouldn't take it as a competition, and compete with others (who are much better than me).

 

I did my first sketch based on the photo above. 

I am proud of myself (as a beginner) to be able to pen what i saw onto paper.

Introducing: The Standard Memorandum Notebook

Word. has teamed up with designer and illustrator, Jon Contino, to create a modern version of this storied notebook. The Standard Memorandum is laid out so you simply jot down a line or two every day for a year and are left with a memento you can save or pass down. The project began after Jon discovered his wife's great-grandfather's pocket journals from the early 1900's that basically recreated what his life was like. Born out of a desire to start doing this himself, Jon partnered with Word. Notebooks to create a journal like the ones he found. The Standard Memorandum is that journal.

Getting ready for 2017.

Are your planners ready for the 2017 ahead? 

For my 2016, I had changed a couple of planners, and I lost track how many planners I had used. 

I find it a little messy for me.

So for my 2017, I have set aside these planner / notebooks:

Field Notes Black Ice, in Singapore

Field Notes Black Ice has finally arrived in Singapore!!

With it's shiny cover, it is certainly an attraction.

Unlike the normal edition, this is the first edition without staples (PUR Binding), therefore some users might not like it as it will makes writing harder.

With it's Ruled paper, it gives a vintage feel.
If you are an old-school type of person, this is the notebook you should keep inside your pocket.

Many users are concern if Black Ice are fountain pen friendly?
I tried out with a fountain pen with an EF nib, and it doesn't bleed through. 

But I had read some reviews that this is not the notebook for fountain pen users.
